Mose John Allison Jr. (natural November 11, 1927) is an American jazz/blues pianist, singer, and songwriter. Natural within Tippo, Mississippi, he moved to New York City in 1957. His songs use been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, The Who, Van Morrison and others. A Pixies song "Allison", from their album Bossanova (1990), is about Mose Allison.
